Welocom to my homepage. I am a fourth year PhD candidate at Sharif University of Technology in electrical engineering and communications (systems). I started and pursued my educations all in Sharif university of Technology, which is my favorite university both from academic viewpoint and also social and cultural environment.

My main research interest is sparse signal processing which cover many aspects of signal processing applications. The main tool which I believe in, is statistical signal processing. I am also interested in Detection-Estimation theory. I also like parameter estimation techniques because many of the electrical engineering problems is about estimation of some parameters such as some frequencies, ranges, mixing matrices, statistical model parameters, angles or Direction Of Arrivals (DOA's), Time Difference Of Arrivals (TDOA's) and etc.

I pay more attention to practical applications than theoretical aspects in electrical engineering which I think it should be the core of activity of a good electrical engineer. Therefore, I picked my PhD thesis title as "Sparse Component Analysis and its applications" to fulfil my aim. Among applications, I am interested in channel coding in communication systems and Digital Radar signal processing. About implementational tools, I like FPGA's because of high speed potentials and I have some primary knowledge and experience around them.

Some of my works, publications and open source codes are in this page, which I hope are useful. Feel free to contact me in case of free exchange of research and experience.
